What is a CSR?

A CSR (Certificate Signing Request) is a block of encoded text that is given to a Certificate Authority (CA) when applying for an SSL certificate.

The Private Key is generated locally at the same time and must be kept secret. You will need this Private Key on your web server when installing the SSL certificate.

Requirements:

Common Name must be a valid fully-qualified domain name (FQDN).
Country Code must be a 2-letter ISO country code (e.g., VN, US).
Email address must follow user@domain.com.
